Emergency Care
Cimarron Memorial Hospital provides 24-hour emergency service with a Level IV Trauma designation. A Level IV facility provides initial evaluation, stabilization, diagnostic testing, and treatment. Transfer to a higher level of care will be made if needed.
Our emergency room features a room specially equipped to care for the patient with life threatening conditions and trauma. We also have two other rooms specially equipped for patients needing less emergent care, such as sutures, casting, wound dressings, and other procedures.
When you arrive at our Emergency room, a trained nurse will examine you to determine how serious your medical condition is (triage). The physician will classify your medical condition as:
- Emergent-having a life threatening illness or injury
- Urgent-a stable condition, but needing help as quickly as possible
- Non-urgent-a stable condition requiring minimal treatment and medical attention
